It doesn't look that appealing from the road, passed by it many times without a second look. But my wife's friend took her there, and she just couldn't stop talking about it. So we went a few days later. I was impressed, the food was fresh and was very clean inside. I'm not a fish guy so there was many options for me as well.

Great spot. Food was amazing. Service from all staff was great. Our server was excellent. Got the shumai and the sushi for two dinner and it did not disappoint. 10/10 would recommend.

Food is delicious, sadly the service was terrible! First time going there and last! Walked in and as we were being seated she says what can I get you to drink… we haven’t even got our silverware or menu yet! Water it is I guess! Had my daughter in a high chair and the cup slipped from her hand and the water fell on the ground. As I and my mother tried to get someone’s attention the waitress and hostess were to busy in the corner acting ignorant. Of course there weren’t no napkins in sight or on any tables. When she finally decided to come over both me and my mom apologized but no reaction no response at all from the waitress. Just came back with a mop and told me I HAD to get out of my seat so they could mop!!! Mind you at this time I was filling out my receipt to leave… Do better with your customer service skills and be alittle more polite!

I've been coming to New Moon for years now, and it is consistently one of the best places to eat in Lakeland. The staff is kind and incredibly efficient, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming yet intimate, and the plating is outstanding. If you are craving sushi, this is the place to be (and don't forget the tempura cheesecake for dessert - it is positively decadent)!

We love going to New Moon Sushi! The sushi is always fresh and their lunch special is a great deal for the quality and portion sizes you get. Everything we’ve tried so far has been delish. They are easily our go-to sushi spot in Lakeland. The only downside is their hours. Just a heads up: if you go for lunch close to their 2pm closing time, they will let you know right away (like, immediately when you walk thru the door) that they close at 2 and that you need to order quickly. Our very first visit here, we went once close to that time (not realizing they FULLY close the entire restaurant at 2pm) and definitely felt a little rushed. So if you’re cutting it close, make sure you already know what you want when you sit down! Overall, the food is great and we have gone back several times since (with plenty of time before closing 😅)
